Orthodontic Solutions at Midlothian Family Dentistry
Coming from a family of Navy dentists, our Midlothian dentists enjoy giving back to the community with quality dental services. We work diligently to educate Richmond patients regarding applicable dental procedures, giving patients control over their own treatment plans. We want everyone in our community to know the importance of maintaining good dental hygiene.
We offer many comprehensive services that help transform anyone’s teeth into a bright, beautiful smile. Our services include:
Invisalign® give patients a series of clear plastic aligners that are virtually invisible. Every two to four weeks, patients move to a different set of aligners slightly adjusted to move teeth into the correct position. These clear aligners are removable for cleaning and eating, making Invisalign® an excellent solution for patients looking for a discreet alternative to traditional metal braces.
Six Month Smile® utilizes clear brackets and tooth-colored wires to adjust the visible teeth with pressures similar to traditional braces. Six Month Smile® focuses primarily on straightening the visible teeth in less time than traditional braces would.
Pediatric Braces adjust teeth of young children before problems can persist into adulthood. Diagnosing and treating early orthodontic problems can prevent future dental problems that are developed by misaligned teeth. Our office works closely with an orthodontists to devise a plan specifically catered to our patients.
Speech Pathology treats the onset of oral myofunctional disorder (OMD). OMD refers to issues of speech affected by tongue positioning. If gone untreated, the pressure caused by the tongue’s positioning can affect a patient’s teeth growth alignment. Speech pathology requires an expert in the field to diagnose and treat the disorder.
