Help Us Support Feed More This Holiday Season!

This holiday season, Midlothian Family Dentistry is proud to partner with Feed More to help fight hunger in our community. From now through December 19th, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food items at our office for families in need across Central Virginia.

We’ve planned donation drop-offs during Thanksgiving week and Christmas week, ensuring that your generosity reaches local families in time for the holidays. Every can, box, or bag makes a difference — together, we can help provide hope and nourishment during this special time of year.

Please consider bringing a donation during your next visit or stopping by our office to drop one off. Thank you for helping us support Feed More’s mission to nourish our neighbors and spread kindness this season!

Feed More: Nourishing Central Virginia

Feed More works to nourish communities and empower lives across 29 counties and 5 cities in Central Virginia, distributing more than 35 million pounds of food last year to neighbors facing food insecurity.

Through programs like Meals on Wheels, Mobile Pantry, and Children’s Programs, Feed More ensures that every meal makes a meaningful difference.

Bayard Community Kitchen

  • Prepares 15,000 meals each week for Meals on Wheels and Children’s Programs.
  • Uses over 13 tons of potatoes annually!
  • Every meal is made from scratch and medically tailored to meet each neighbor’s dietary needs.

Meals on Wheels Program

  • Serves 2,000 homebound neighbors each week.
  • Offers diet-specific menus to help manage health conditions.
  • Supported by volunteers across 100 routes in 16 localities, delivering food and companionship each weekday.

The Kids Mobile Market

  • Distributes 26,000 pounds of kid-friendly food to local children and teens.
  • Popular items include fresh cucumbers, yogurt, and cereal.
  • In 2023, Freddie helped 1,750 kids and teens in need.

Expanding Capacity to Serve

  • Feed More’s new facility will offer 25% more shelf-stable storage and 5x more freezer space.
  • A state-of-the-art kitchen will double in size, improving efficiency.
  • These upgrades will help cut storage costs by at least 50% and handle more donations.

Hunger Is Often Invisible

  • Many neighbors served by Feed More have jobs and income but still struggle to make ends meet.
  • Food needs are often episodic — most families visit a pantry five times or fewer per year.
  • Feed More’s mission ensures that no one faces hunger alone.
